My education at Bocconi provided me with a robust foundation in business, which has been instrumental in expanding Sicis Jewels. Understanding market dynamics, strategic branding, and global business operations has allowed us to position our stores in prestigious locations and appeal to a discerning international clientele. As the creative director since 2018, what are some of the most significant changes or innovations you have implemented in SICIS collections? What are you most proud of?
Since becoming the creative director, one of the most significant changes has been the incorporation of innovative techniques and materials that respect the heritage of micromosaic while pushing the boundaries of contemporary design. I’m particularly proud of our patented material processing methods that have revolutionized our production, allowing us to create more intricate and durable pieces. Additionally, the expansion of our collections to include a broader range of products, such as eyewear and timepieces, has been a milestone. Each innovation ensures that we remain at the forefront of both tradition and modernity.
How do you balance honoring the rich heritage of micromosaic art with the need to innovate and appeal to contemporary tastes in jewelry design? How do you wish to see this delicate art form preserved and worked into the jewelry trade?
