Socially-Distanced and Romantic Proposal Ideas

We have all had to become accustomed to our new normal. Socially distancing has become the new way of life. As time has gone on, we have been able to adapt any life situation to fit into a socially distanced situation. Whether that is a gender reveal via zoom, a business meeting on google meet, or a FaceTime date, we have proven over the past year that anything is possible. While many things have changed, the love for a significant other has not. If you are looking to propose to that special someone, we have come up with some unique ways to do it while staying safe.

Romantic Home Proposal

An at home proposal can be a really intimate and romantic idea, all you have to do is set the ambience. First, pick which space you want the proposal to be in, then make sure you decorate it. Flowers will spruce up any space; be sure to spread them out around the room. Adding candles can be a small touch that will make a big difference and make any room look a lot more romantic. Next, make sure to make a playlist that will fit the tone of what you want your proposal to be. Another great touch would be adding pictures of you and your loved one around the space to add a more personal touch. Don’t forget to document the moment. You can either hire a photographer, or set a camera up yourself and if you want your family and friends to participate, set up a zoom call in the background! You cannot go wrong with this personalized, intimate at home proposal.

Take a Hike

Going on a hike can lead to a great proposal, and it is a place where there are few to no people around you. If you want a specific place on the trail, go first and pick the perfect spot. On a cliff, with a perfect view of the area or even hidden somewhere between the trees with lots of greenery all around. You can use the space to make the perfect background when you are ready to pop the question. It will be an unforgettable proposal.

Prepare a Picnic

Making a picnic is not only an adorable date idea, but could lead to a really cute proposal. Make some sandwiches, pack up a charcuterie board, or bring some food from your favorite place to eat, and don’t forget to bring some champagne with you to celebrate. Pick an outdoor spot where you know there will not be a lot of people around, or if you want to invite family and friends, invite them all to bring their picnic equipment and have everyone six feet a part. When you are ready, ask the big question!

Warehouse

This sounds strange, but hear us out! There are lots of empty warehouses that you can rent out for a night. You can take the space and customize it to fit you and your spouse’s taste. You can put up some fairy lights, you could put down a blanket and some pillows. You could put down a bed of flowers, or even put up a projector and play a slideshow of your love story. If you are musically talented, now is the perfect time to whip out a guitar and sing a romantic song. There are so many ways you could personalize a warehouse and make it the perfect spot to ask someone to be your forever.

No matter how you choose to propose, remember that the important thing is that you are going to spend the rest of your life with the person that you love. No matter where you do it or how, it will be special and memorable for the two of you. Proposing is an important step and if you want to take that step, don’t let a pandemic stop you from making your love fo
